Treatment Questions
This is my first massage, what should I expect?
First-time clients are asked to come in a few minutes early to fill out a basic health history form. Your therapist will then guide you to the treatment room to discuss goals for the treatment. They will then leave and allow you to get onto the massage table. After the massage is complete, your therapist will then leave the room and give you a moment to get dressed. They may then recommend home care and discuss long term goals.
Do I need to talk during my massage?
We want to make you comfortable during the massage. While silence is encouraged to help you relax, talking throughout the treatment is welcomed. However, it is also important to communicate with the therapist during your massage so you can get the most out of your treatment.
Do I need to completely undress for my massage?
No, we generally request our clients to disrobe to their undergarments or to what level they feel most comfortable in. It is best to have skin-to-skin contact, however our therapist are also trained to work over clothing if requested.
Will the massage be painful?
At times throughout the treatment, you may experience some discomfort but you shouldn’t be more than what you can handle. Every body is different and people can feel pain differently. It is important to communicate with your therapist throughout the treatment so that you can get the best results during the treatment.
Do you work with teens and children?
Yes, we do treat children. We recommend starting with a 30 minute treatment to get them comfortable in a massage setting. We encourage parents to be in the room while their child is being treated.
